Amish Country Popcorn

In 1965, in an Amish community in Indiana, Roy Lehman planted a small plot of land with popcorn for his six-year-old son, Brian. His son then started to grow popcorn for his friends and family. To this day, he still remembers carrying popcorn to school for his sixth-grade teacher, his most loyal customer.

Once Brian graduated, he stayed on the family farm to continue his dream of growing and selling popcorn. Years later, he was able to purchase the family farm and the company, Amish Country Popcorn.

Currently, the company harvests roughly 10 million pounds of popcorn per year and has moved to the next generation of ownership.

Amish Country Popcorn has held on to its values of growing the best popcorn possible and is proud to say their popcorn is non-GMO and preservative-free. They will never grow popcorn that has been genetically modified.

Since this is a small family operation, their weed control is sometimes Brian and a group of grandkids out in the cornfield pulling weeds. They strive to use as many natural methods as possible, including regular crop rotation and carefully planting and preparing the land.

After harvest, the popcorn is cleaned, processed at the farm, and then sorted by its size, shape, weight, and color.

Harvest Array is proud to support this family owned and operated business. Their delicious popcorn continues to be one of our best sellers.

I can attest to the fact that Amish popcorn is superior to everyone else’s. I eat it at least 1x/wk when I’m at home.
