What You Need to Add to the Cornbread Mix

3 tablespoons butter
1 cup buttermilk (8 oz.)
2 large eggs

Baking Instructions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Blend eggs and buttermilk in a mixing bowl.
Stir in Cornbread mix.
Melt butter in an 8 x 8 inch baking pan in the oven.
Remove pan, swirl butter around to coat inside of heated pan.
Stir the remainder of melted butter into the batter and pour into a preheated pan.
Bake 18-25 minutes until firm on top and lightly brown.
Tip: Generally, the heavier the pan the longer it should bake.
Serve with chili or soup for supper or with butter and hot syrup for breakfast.
