The Dutch Kettle No Sugar Added Apple Butter with pecans and caramel is shipped in a clear 18-ounce glass jar. Therefore, each jar is individually packaged to ensure safe delivery to you. 

Our pecan apple butter is a concentrated form of apple puree created by slowly cooking the apples, stirring occasionally, with cider and pure grape juice (for sweetening) until the sugars in the apples caramelize. As a result, the sauce continues to slowly cook, giving the apple butter its rich, sweet flavor and dark color.

However, in contrast to what the name implies, there is no butter in apple butter. A hint of warm cinnamon and spice, but mostly it just tastes like a caramel covered apple dipped in chopped pecans, like you might find at a fall festival, just not as sweet!
