Kirk's Gentle Castile Bar Soap contains Soothing Aloe Vera and is made with 100% Premium Coconut Oil. This combination creates a gentle and creamy lather even in hard water.

The soap leaves skin feeling soft and healthy. This type of Kirk's Castile Soap is for those with sensitive skin and certified hypoallergenic.

What is the difference between Regular Soap and Castile Soap?

Regular bar soap and Castile soap differ in their ingredients. Regular soap is made from lard and other animal fats. Castile soap is considered a Vegan product because it is made of vegetable oils. Castile soap got its name because in olden times, it was made from Olive Oil from the Castile region of Spain.

Today, this type of soap is made from either castor, hemp, or coconut oil, (which Kirk's Castile Soaps are made of.) The owners of Kirks use purely coconut oil because it is less expensive and more readily available than olive oil. Vegetable oils are biodegradable and therefore eco friendly, as well.
