All you need is beer, butter, and our beer bread mix to make a warm, delicious loaf of bread you can eat plain or in a variety of different ways

If you have never had beer bread, it is similar in texture and density to sourdough bread but a whole different flavor. Using our Halladay's Classic Beer Bread Mix makes it so much easier and quicker to prepare a loaf so you can enjoy with family and friends. Instead of using a bottle of beer as the liquid, club soda can be substituted if you prefer.

Ways to enjoy this bread:

• • Beer bread can be used to make delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, your favorite panini, like turkey and cheddar, even toast.

  • Stock the pantry for a quick side for a hearty bowl of soup. It's great for dipping and soaking up the broth.
  • Customize the mix 
    • Try different beer brands or light or dark beers.
    • Add shredded cheese to the batter before baking. 
    • Mix in herbs or seasonings before baking.
    • Enjoy as a side to chicken, pork, or steak. Goes well with barbeque.

  Recipe:

• • 1 (12oz.) bottle of your favorite beer. 
    • Use light beer for a milder flavor
    • Use dark beer for a richer flavor
    • Use club soda for non alcoholic bread
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter, melted 
  • Halladay's Classic Vermont Beer Bread Mix

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Pour the package of Beer Bread Mix into a medium mixing bowl. Pour in the beer or soda if using. Stir until most of the lumps are gone.

Add batter to the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top and cover with the melted butter. 

Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool for at least 5 minutes.
